VEGETABLE BROTH

When the body is in a CHRONIC STATE, vegetable broth gives the body some breathing room to repair.

In a slow cooker, or a pot on the stove, place a mixture of these ingredients below with filtered water, and simmer (not boil) for 20-30 minutes.  Cooking longer is also an option if you are using a slow cooker.  No spices or stock are to be added.

Ingredients
  • Asparagus
  • Beets and Beet Tops
  • Bok Choy
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Carrots
  • Cauliflower
  • Celery
  • Cilantro
  • Cucumber
  • Dandelion Greens
  • Fennel
  • Green Beans
  • Lettuce
  • Kale
  • Parsley
  • Potatoes
  • Pumpkin
  • Sea Kelp
  • Spinach
  • Squash
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Tomatoes
  • Turnips
  • Yams

And

  • Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tbsp

Please make sure a good balance of leafy vegetables and root vegetables are cooked together.  You want all the colours represented and the leafy greens.  No fruit.  Not everything has to go in that is on the list, just a good variety.

Feeding

For canines, feed twice a day, 12 hours apart.  If they are super hungry a third feeding may be offered, but for healing chronic cases, it is preferred not.  The goal is to certainly NOT to cause them any stress, follow their lead.

This will keep for 3-5 days.

This is not Bone Broth
This is not a bone broth but a cleaning broth, using minerals and vitamins from plants to help clean the body, supporting the liver and kidneys and other organs. It is allowing the body to redirect resources to cleaning versus digestion.

If possible, it is preferred no animal protein is added at all.  However, if one must, a small bone or two may be added for flavor.  However, if allergies or skin issues are present then the protein must be something the dog/cat has not been exposed to before.  And definitely no raw poultry.

Access to the Outdoors

Please make sure they are allowed outside to relieve themselves several times a day.   They may have to go to the bathroom more often than normal perhaps due to the volume of liquid they may consume.
