Salt on Sidewalks

Salt on Sidewalks is Very Toxic to Your Animal

I was walking along the streets in Vancouver, 2025 January and the amount of salt on the sidewalks to protect the humans from slipping is incredible. The challenge is our dogs are usually in bare feet and are walking directly on this. This is toxic to them. Their sweat glands are in their feet ad they are absorbing all of this into their bodies which their liver and other cleaning organs are having to process. This is poisonous to them and their bodies will present signs of being poisoned such as these symptoms:

  • Eye irritation, swelling
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Blood on stool
  • Ears red and inflamed

To name a few. The symptoms will depend on the animal’s toxic load – how much the body is able to cope, and the continuous exposure level.

Looking up what is in the salt on the sidewalks, as I have a client being poisoned this way, the search on Brave AI on Friday January 24, 2025 reported the following:

Chemicals in Sidewalk Salt

The primary chemical in salt used on sidewalks is sodium chloride (NaCl), commonly known as rock salt. Sodium chloride is effective in lowering the freezing point of water, helping to melt ice. Additionally, other types of salts used include potassium chloride and calcium chloride. Potassium chloride, while safer for plants and pets, requires higher temperatures to be effective. Calcium chloride is effective at much lower temperatures and can be more efficient in melting ice. These salts work by dissolving in the water present on icy surfaces, releasing heat that helps to break down ice and snow.

Drilling down the chemical in red, calcium chloride is what is poisoning my client’s dog. The Material Data Safety Sheet’s for Calcium Chloride of the companies listed below, report this symbol for Calcium Chloride consistently, each showing it is poisonous to the body.

Eyes Being Treated When it is the Liver Which Needs Help

What is important to understand here is the pet owner was treating the eyes with colloidal silver, but the eyes are symptom they do not need treating. The issue is the liver is under immense distress and needs the toxin stopped and removed, it has nothing to do with bacteria, yet this is what is going into the dog’s eyes and this is the focus of the pet owner without understanding how the body works and the signals the body is providing.

Boots are Required

If you are living in such areas where salt is abundant, then boots are required. Most dogs do not like them – but it is up to the pet owner to source a product their animal can happily wear so they are not being poisoned from the ground. Else walk them on different routes, areas where they are not exposed to this chemical or anything else like it.

Ideally, you wish them to have feet on the ground so they are connected to the planet, so please keep this in mind as this is paramount for healing and maintaining a healthy body also.
