• Foods that are considered to contribute to the formation of dampness in the body are generally those that are cold, raw, greasy, sweet, or difficult to digest, as they can weaken the digestive system’s ability to transform and transport fluids, leading to dampness accumulation.
• Common culprits include dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter, and cream, which are heavy and cooling in nature and can be hard to break down, especially for those with weakened digestion, potentially leading to phlegm and mucus buildup.
