Low body temperature, also known as hyperthermia, has been highlighted as a real concern during surgery for our animals. It is noted that body temperatures are potentially not being monitored closely enough during surgery, potentially dropping too low. This illustration below explains the potential issues, and how they may be resolved. This may be reviewed with, and forwarded to your veterinarian, if need be, to make sure they are aware, and your animal is kept safe during any surgery procedure.
