Low body temperature, also known as hypothermia, has been highlighted as a real concern during surgery for our animals. It is noted that the body temperatures are potentially not being monitored during surgery and potentially dropping too low.
This illustration below explains the potential issues, and impacts on the organs, glands and body systems and how these may be resolved. This is very important to understand and review I feel. This may be reviewed with and or forwarded to your veterinarian if need be to make sure they are aware, and your animal is kept safe during any surgery procedure.
